How do I register?
Visit the booking page or our calendar, choose your date and add it to the cart. You’ll be asked for your sign design and customization options. If you’re booking for more than one person, make sure to add them to the cart separately so that each sign will have the required design information.
How much does it cost?
Workshop fees are currently $48 per person and include a 3 hour workshop and all supplies needed to create the sign of your choice.
Do you have any discounts?
Always be sure to check our specials page, as well as our Facebook page for current specials.
When should I arrive?
It’s best to arrive 10-15 minutes early so you have time to find your seat, have a few minutes to mingle with friends and get your drinks and snacks ready before we begin. Workshops will start as close to on-time as possible. Starting time will not be held back due to late arrivals, however we will do our best to help you catch up.
Can I bring a friend to help me?
Workshop fees are charged per person, and your project may not be shared with another individual. This includes the 2- 12” x 12” sign bundle option found on our specials page.
What if I need to cancel?
Due to the custom nature of the designs provided for your use during our workshops, your workshop fee is non-refundable. We do allow you to apply your workshop fee to a future workshop with your chosen design within 45 days of the initial workshop date if cancellation is made at least 48 hours in advance.
What do we do at the workshop?
During the workshop, we’ll walk you, step-by-step, through the process of staining your boards, assembling your sign, placing your stencil and painting your design. All stain and paint color choices are your own, though we do have plenty of samples available if you’re looking for inspiration.
Can I change parts of my design?
While we are happy to add personalization to designs in the form of names, places and dates, free of charge, any changes beyond this would require additional lead time and a custom design fee.
Is this safe? Is it messy?
Your planks or boards will be pre-cut and ready for you to work on when you come in. During the workshop you will be using wood, hammers, drills, mallets, screws, and water-based paints and stains. We will make you aware of all safety rules and precautions at the beginning of the workshop. We also have gloves and disposable aprons available for your use. Though wearing clothes you don’t mind getting messy in is always recommended!
Can I bring food and drinks?
Of course! Our workshops are BYOB and we welcome you to drinks and snacks, and for those at least 21 years of age wine or beer (No hard liquor, please). We will have plates, cups and utensils available for you in the studio.
Can I sit with my friends?
If you include your friends name during registration we will make every effort to accommodate your request, though sizes of signs and space constraints may limit our ability to do so.
Where should I park?
While workshops are estimated to take 3 hours, sometimes they can run a little bit later. For our evening workshops that may run past Golf Mill Shopping Center’s 9pm close time, it is best to park in the lot on the north side of AMC theater.
